 Dr. Smith graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry with honors. He completed his residency at the Washington Hospital Center with further study at the University Hospital of Wales in the United Kingdom. Dr. Smith is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Fellow of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
He has served as President of the Fairfax County Dental Society and the Middle Atlantic Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and as a consulting surgeon to the Center for Facial Rehabilitation at Fairfax Hospital. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Dental Association, The Academy of Osseointegration, the Northern Virginia and Fairfax County Dental Societies, the American Society of Dental Anesthesiologists and Implant Society of Northern Virginia.
Dr. Smith was named one of Washington’s Top Oral Surgeons by both Washingtonian Magazine and Washington Consumer Checkbook for the past three years and was selected by his peers for membership in the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy.
