Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Background Information

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a medical and dental specialty which requires up to 6 additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training following dental school. Our surgeons, manage a wide variety of problems relating to the Mouth, Teeth and Facial Regions. Our doctors practice a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including; wisdom teeth extraction, placement of endosseous implants, corrective or orthognathic surgery, facial injuries, and cosmetic facial surgery.

We have four offices in the Northern Virginia area to serve your needs and these are located in Fairfax, Reston, Burke, Centreville and Woodbridge. See our maps and directions for locations near you. Our Fairfax office has a fully staffed operating room where a board certified anesthesiologist is used for larger operations. All of our facilities have passed the highest nationally recognized accreditation process in the country called the AAAHC. This is the same regulatory body and certification process which certifies hospitals requiring the highest and most rigorous standards with regard to safety, anesthesia, record keeping, etc.

Surgical Staff

Our staff is composed of surgical assistants trained in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. Most have received additional certification by the Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial for anesthesia assisting. However, only our doctors start IV lines and administer medications.
