Dr. Lila Kim

Meet Dr. Lila Kim
DDS

Dr. Lila Kim is an accomplished oral surgeon who has extensive experience in treating a wide range of patients in connection with their oral and maxillofacial needs, including wisdom teeth and other extractions, dental implants, bone grafts as well as other surgical procedures.
She graduated class of 1996 from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. In 2001, she completed the prestigious residency program for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York University/Bellevue Hospital Center. Upon completion, she obtained her diplomat status with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2005 and has maintained her certification
ever since. In addition, she has been Board Certified with the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology since 2005. Dr. Kim is an active member of the American Dental Association and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She maintains active certification for ACLS, BLS, PALS.

Dr. Kim has a unique approach to serving her patients. In addition to the traditional thought process, she marries her passion for Functional Medicine with her years of experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She appreciates every patient’s individuality and adapts her treatment based on their unique situation and progress. She is passionate about wellness as a whole. She likes to understand the environment and lifestyle, believing there is a cause and effect. She practices sustainability and focuses on health in combination with climate reality and environmental factors leading to longevity.
Dr. Kim practiced for many years in New York City and, more recently, California. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she prioritized being near her family on the east coast and relocated to the Washington, D.C. area in 2020.
While exploring the greater Washington, D.C. area, she felt a warm sense of community in Northern Virginia. The area of Fairfax County was captivating and she knew this was the place to settle. Coincidently, her family had their wisdom teeth removed at Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery a few years before joining the practice. Her pride and joy comes from supporting her family, friends and her dog, Ollie. Her vitality and curiosity inspire her engagement in her community, and she is passionate about using her knowledge and experience to help others. She continues to explore Fairfax County in her spare time.
